Being a Sparring Partner

Alone you can achieve little, together a lot. I am a motivated leader of diverse global teams in matrix organization. I had great experience and success when I worked in small teams of different stakeholders and experts. As a sparring partner I like to motivate and support my team members, identify together potential gaps to achieve set goals.

I prefer to work closely together between departments and with partners, than in silos.

International

I am a Swiss citizen, born in Lucerne.

I lived in Abu Dhabi/UAE and Marseille/F. Widely experienced in working in an international and multicultural environment with teams around the globe. And I worked for projects on 5 continents.

I prepared Private Equity owned companies for an IPO (at SIX) and M&A transaction. Worked for listed and privately held companies.

I am open to work globally & re-locate.

Customer focussed

The interest and needs of my internal and external customers are always my focus. I understand the different risk areas as enablers to reach defined goals. A main competence of a risk manager is to listen carefully. I was often able to anticipate needs and we introduced customer offerings in the area of prevention and helping to bring them ahead of the curve.

The power of Water

I started swimming when I was a kid, continued as a lifeguard and played 20+ years team sport waterpolo. Activity in the water or overlooking sea/lakes in a nice spot gives me energy.
I continued to work in voluntarily as Board Member for the Swimming Club Lucerne, first as finance responsible then as actuary.

Multicultural & Diverse

Working with global team members include different perspectives, cultural aspects, languages and priorities. As a leader I tried to be a sparring partner to my colleagues, also for their private worries. It suits me that I am interested in different cultures, countries of the world and being part of a diverse community.

Exploring mountains

To hike in the mountains a good risk assessment is essential and to prepare adequately. Weather changes can be sudden. But if done properly, I just enjoy hiking with friends or the quiet peaceful nature which gives me the energy for the challenges of everyday life.
